Blåkulla's return, three years after "An Almighty Sacrifice"; the french tyrant now returns with another EP offering. Although short in length, this is definitely a rather unique and special output in Blåkulla's discography. Stepping away from his usual, thunderous and unforgiving style of ancient Black Metal barbarism, in the veins of the french Concilium or Nécropole, Blåkulla presents here one long 7-minute song of mid-pace, melodic Black Metal, that although still rooted in the 90's evokes feelings of nostalgia, mourn, but still ultimately a prideful grandeur in its essence. The second track is an excellent cover of Marduk's "Materialized in Stone".
